Goalpokhor (West Bengal): Congress chief Rahul Gandhi stated on Wednesday (April 14) that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is making an attempt to destroy Bengal and its tradition whereas addressing his first rally in West Bengal in this election season. 

Rahul Gandhi stated, “BJP wants to destroy Bengal’s culture, heritage and divide it. In Assam, they are doing the same thing; in Tamil Nadu, they are trying to do the same thing with their alliance partner AIADMK,” including “The BJP has nothing to offer except for hatred, violence and divisive politics.” 

Mocking the BJP’s slogan of constructing “Sonar Bangla”, the previous Congress president termed it as a “mirage and said they “promote the identical dream in each state”, including stated the saffron get together has nothing to provide aside from hatred, violence and dividing individuals on the premise of language, faith, caste and creed.
