The ‘Dabbang’ actor had moved the Rajasthan High Court on Thursday seeking exemption from a sessions court for him to appear in person. Salman further sought permission to appear in the court proceedings virtually, according to a report in PTI. The report further reveals that the Rajasthan High Court has granted the ‘Ready’ actor’s permission on Friday and have allowed him to appear for the court proceedings today (February 6, 2021) from Mumbai via video conferencing.

A Jodhpur bench of the High Court gave relief to the ‘Antim’ actor, accepting his counsel’s argument which stated that travelling from Mumbai to Jodhpur amid the COVID-19 pandemic may pose threat to Salman’s health, a report in PTI read.

A bench of Justices Indrajit Mahanty and Dinesh Mehta also acknowledged counsel H M Saraswat’s argument that his client’s personal appearance might attract huge gathering in court premises. This may also cause a law-and-order issue, the report further said.

Meanwhile, the ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ actor was sentenced to five years of imprisonment by a trial court in March 2018 for poaching two blackbucks in Jodhpur on October 1-2, 1998. Co-accused Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu and a local, Dushyant Singh, were acquitted in the case.

On the professional front, Salman Khan will be next seen starring in ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ and ‘Antim: The Final Truth’.
