CHICAGO: Corey Perry might be away from the Chicago Blackhawks for the foreseeable future, common supervisor Kyle Davidson stated Saturday.
The 38-yr-outdated Perry hasn’t performed since he skated for nearly quarter-hour throughout a 3-2 loss to Buffalo final Sunday. He was a wholesome scratch for Wednesday evening’s 7-3 loss at Columbus and Friday’s 4-3 victory over Toronto.
“It’s been a team decision so far to hold him out, and that’s about all I’m able to provide,” Davidson stated.
Perry was acquired from Tampa Bay in a June commerce, then agreed to a $4 million, one-yr contract.
Perry has 4 targets and 5 assists in 16 video games. Asked about the potential of a commerce, Davidson responded: “To start ruling anything out I think is irresponsible, so I’m just going to not comment on any possible outcome of this.”
In an announcement offered to Hockey Night in Canada, Pat Morris, Perry’s agent, stated the ahead has stepped away from the staff to attend to non-public issues. Morris stated Perry and his household are on the lookout for privateness.
Perry’s absence comes with the Blackhawks coping with a collection of accidents amongst forwards. Taylor Hall is scheduled for proper knee surgical procedure on Monday in Minnesota.
“Obviously disappointed for Taylor. I think he came in and played well when he was in the lineup,” Davidson stated, “but unfortunately he was banged up a couple times. Time to get him back to full health. We look forward to having him return next year, 100 percent and ready to go.”
