The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Chairman of Selectors Chetan Sharma has resigned from his submit on Friday (February 16), in response to information company ANI. The BCCI secretary Jay Shah has accepted the resignation as effectively.
Chetan Sharma had made some massive claims in a Zee News Sting Video earlier this week. The BCCI had indicated that a proof can be sought from him as contracted officers aren’t allowed to talk to the media.
The chairman of selectors had made some enormous claims, particularly towards former India captain Virat Kohli. In an unique sting carried out by Zee News Channel, chief selector Chetan Sharma revealed that Kohli ‘lied’ when he instructed the media earlier than the South Africa tour that Ganguly didn’t attempt to cease him from quitting T20 captaincy after the T20 World Cup 2021. At the top of the press convention in 2021, Kohli instructed the media that he was instructed by the selectors that he’ll not proceed as ODI captain as effectively.
“Virat Kohli felt he lost the captaincy because of BCCI President. There were 9 people in the selection committee video conference, Ganguly may have told him ‘think about it once’. I think Kohli didn’t hear it, there were 9 others there including myself and all other selectors, BCCI officials – Kohli might not have heard him,” the previous chairman of selectors stated within the video.
