New Delhi: The Sikkim authorities on Friday (May 13) declared a whole lockdown within the state ranging from May 17 to May 24 so as to control the surge in COVID-19 circumstances.
“There shall be a complete lockdown with effect from 5:00 am of May 17 to 5:00 am of May 24 in the entire state,” the official notification launched by the federal government stated.
All actions/congregations and motion of individuals, items and passenger autos, together with two-wheelers, shall be prohibited/restricted aside from the next exceptions:
1. Movement of individuals and automobile together with passengers autos required for important items (milk, meals gadgets, greens, animal feed, petroleum merchandise medical provides, LPG) shall be allowed. 2. All medical retailers shall be allowed to stay open.
