Hours after the Delhi Patiala House Court granted three-day judicial custody of Disha Ravi to Delhi Police in connection with the ‘toolkit’ case, Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg took to Twitter and extended her support for the the Indian activist. “Freedom of speech and the right to peaceful protest and assembly are non-negotiable human rights. These must be a fundamental part of any democracy,” Greta tweeted with the hashtag #StandWithDishaRavi.Â
Earlier in the day, Disha was produced before the court amid high security at the end of her five-days police custody for allegedly being involved in sharing a document (toolkit) on social media related to the farmers’ protest.Â

The Delhi Police on Friday told a city court that climate activist Disha Ravi has been evasive in giving replies during the interrogation and shifted the blame onto co-accused Nikita Jacob and Shantanu Muluk. During the hearing, public prosecutor said that Disha has to be confronted with the co-accused that is why Police need 3-day judicial custody.
