Brentford’s Thomas Frank Says Abuse Directed at Managers is a ‘Disgrace’

Graham Potter and his household mentioned he had acquired dying threats amid Chelsea’s run of poor kind

Brentford boss Thomas Frank mentioned the abuse directed at managers is a “shame” after Graham Potter and his family received death threats amid Chelsea’s run of poor form.

Potter said last week that he received emails “that want me to die and want my kids to die” with Chelsea having received solely twice of their final 15 matches beneath the Englishman.

“Unfortunately, in some circumstances it (the abuse) is a part of the business, and I believe in lots of ways in which’s a shame,” Frank told the BBC on Monday.

“One abuse is one too many. It’s the few that are the noisiest and we hear the most. I think it’s very important that we need to be aware that there are still a lot of fans out there that back them.”

Frank mentioned that a supervisor’s position is a “lonely job”.

“Hopefully we have some good friends that can look after us if and when we lose our job,” Frank added.

“We are possibly the one ones that basically know the ache you feel. It’s a lonely job. (The stress) on assistant coaches, gamers, administrators – it’s simply totally different. I believe it’s essential that help’s there.”
