Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (HUL) on Friday introduced a partnership with Brookfield to (*45*) up a solar power park with 45 MW capability in Rajasthan which might assist it in its journey in the direction of internet zero.
The mission shall be developed on the website of Brookfield’s solar park, being undertaken as part of Brookfield Global Transition Fund.
HUL’s Board of Directors authorised an fairness funding of up to 27.73% (and up to 32.24% together with HUL’s wholly-owned subsidiaries), in Transition Sustainable Energy Services One Private Ltd., a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) integrated by Brookfield.
The SPV is fashioned underneath the Government’s Group Captive Open Access Renewable Energy Scheme.
The mission is aligned with the Indian Government’s dedication in COP26 to attain 500 GW of non-fossil power capability by 2030; and can leverage group captive fashions for renewable power procurement, HUL mentioned.
