CBI recovers Rs 20 Crore cash during raids on former CMD of WAPCOS Ltd | DETAILS

More than Rs 20 crore was seized by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) when raids have been performed at premises of Rajinder Kumar Gupta, former Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of public sector enterprise WAPCOS Limited on Tuesday. 

Gupta was booked lately for amassing belongings disproportionate to his identified sources of earnings.

After registering the FIR towards Gupta and his relations, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) groups performed searches at his premises the place Rs 20 crore in cash was seized along with paperwork associated to properties and different valuables, they stated.

The FIR named relations Reema Singal (spouse), Gaurav Singal (son) and Komal Singal (daughter-in-law).

WAPCOS, earlier often called Water and Power Consultancy Services (India) Limited, is a central public sector enterprise wholly owned by the federal government below the executive management of the Ministry of Jal Shakti.
