NEW DELHI: Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda stated on Wednesday that the central authorities is able to talk about all the problems raised by the Punjab farmers. We reject it,” farmer chief Jagjit Singh Dallewal stated. “If the government is not giving legal guarantee of MSP, it means that the farmers of the country will continue to be looted. This is not acceptable,” he added.
After the Centre introduced a proposal to buy crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP), farmers leaders rejected the proposal on Monday night, saying that it had nothing for them. Meanwhile, the farmers leaders have been seen sporting protecting gears together with masks, security glasses and headphones to defend the resistive measures undertaken by the safety forces. In resistance to the protests, the forces used tear fuel shells, water cannons aside from the multi-layer barricading deployed at varied borders of Delhi.
Several farmers and police personnel have been injured within the clashes through the March that began in February 13. The protesting farmers have been tenting on the Shambhu border close to Ambala because the begin of the March.
