Centre Rejects Delhi Government’s Plan Of Home Delivery Of Ration, Claims AAP

New Delhi: The Centre has as soon as once more refused to permit the Delhi authorities to implement the scheme or house supply of ration on the premise of complaints from ration shopkeepers. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party authorities made this declare on Saturday.

AAP chief spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj alleged that it was a transparent case of collusion between the BJP and ration mafia. The AAP authorities had despatched the file of the scheme to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal for the third time on Tuesday for his approval.

Government sources stated the Centre has despatched a letter to the Food and Supplies Department of the Delhi authorities asking it to not “implement” the scheme. The Delhi High Court had not too long ago permitted the federal government’s plan, after which Arvind Kejriwal despatched the proposal to LG. However, he didn’t approve of the scheme. 

According to a report, 72 lakh individuals in Delhi are eligible for sponsored rations, out of which 17 lakh are ration cardholders. The Delhi authorities and the Lieutenant Governor have been in disagreement over the door-to-door ration supply scheme for a very long time.

Delhi’s Kejriwal authorities had made all preparations to launch the Mukhyamantri Ghar Ghar Yojana from March 25, 2021, however the central authorities objected to the scheme. The Kejriwal authorities later withdrew the Chief Minister’s phrase from the scheme however couldn’t get approval from the Centre and the LG. On September 27, the High Court allowed the Delhi authorities to implement the Doorstep Ration Delivery Scheme.
