Namibian cheetah Sasha died due to a kidney ailment on March 27, at Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park (KNP), a high forest division official stated.
The greater than four-and-a-half years previous feminine cheetah was among the many eight cheetahs translocated from Namibia and housed in the KNP in Sheopur district since September 17.
“Cheetah Sasha passed away due to a kidney problem as her creatinine level was very high,” Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF-Wildlife) J.S. Chauhan informed PTI.
The feline was not conserving properly since her arrival greater than 6 month in the past and was not too long ago taken again to a quarantine enclosure on the KNP for therapy, he stated.
Sasha’s creatinine degree was above 400 (an indicator of poor kidney perform) which resulted in her loss of life, Mr. Chauhan added.
