Class 10, 12 Board, degree exams to be held as per schedule in Andhra Pradesh

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh authorities on Friday (April 23) stated the category X and intermediate examinations would be held as per schedule amid a requirement by the Opposition events to cancel or postpone them in view of COVID-19 unfold.

The degree and engineering examinations too would be performed, the federal government stated.

At a high-level evaluation assembly on the prevailing COVID state of affairs, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy requested the authorities to maintain the examinations by following all protocols.

Ensure that the scholars don’t endure any loss and conduct the examinations. Follow all COVID protocols whereas conducting the exams, a press launch quoted the Chief Minister as saying. He requested the officers not to be lax in this.

All the Opposition events – TDP, BJP, Jana Sena and Congress – have been demanding the federal government to both cancel or postpone the year-end examinations, significantly for courses X and intermediate, as the pandemic was once more peaking.

Meanwhile, the discharge stated Jagan had a telephonic dialog with Bharat Biotech Managing Director Krishna Yella and Hetero Drugs Managing Director B Parthasarathy Reddy asking them for enough doses of the COVID vaccine and Remdesivir injections.

The Chief Minister has determined to present free vaccination to an estimated 2.04 crore folks in the 18-45 age group in the State.

He directed the Health Department officers to instantly place orders for the vaccine to meet the demand.
