New Delhi: Reacting to the information of all meat store in Gurugram ordered to stay closed on each Tuesday citing “Hindu sentiments”, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi raised concern asking how can beliefs get damage by what different persons are doing of their non-public lives. 

Owaisi on Friday took to Twitter and expressed disaccord to the latest order by Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG), asking meat store homeowners to close their retailers on each Tuesday “respecting Hindu beliefs”.

“How can beliefs get hurt by what other people are doing in their private lives? People are buying, selling or eating meat, they’re not forcing you to partake. By this logic, close alcohol shops on Friday? Meat is food for millions of Indians. Cannot treat it as something impure,” he tweeted.
