Commercial cooking fuel (LPG) prices have been slashed by Rs 39.50 per 19-kg cylinder on Friday (December 22), which is consistent with softening worldwide benchmarks. However, the prices of home (14 kg) LPG cylinders, that are utilized in households for cooking functions, remained stagnant and unchanged at Rs 903 per 14.2-kg cylinder.

The industrial LPG, that are utilized in numerous locations like resorts and eating places, will now price Rs 1,757 per 19-kg cylinder within the nationwide capital as towards Rs 1,796.50, oil corporations stated in a value notification. The prices of the industrial LPG have been final hiked by state-owned oil corporations by Rs 21 on December 1.
Commercial LPG will now price Rs 1,710 per 19-kg cylinder in Mumbai, Rs 1,868.50 in Kolkata, and Rs 1,929 in Chennai.
Rates differ from state to state based mostly on incidence of native taxation.
Saudi contract softens value
Saudi contract value (CP), the benchmark used for pricing of LPG, has softened in the previous few weeks’ oversupply considerations.
