To create political awareness among Dalits, Backward Classes, Minorities and Nomadic Tribes, the Karnataka Shoshita Samudayagala Maha Okkoota, a consortium of pro-Dalit, Backward Classes and Minorities organisations, can be organising a Shoshita Sankalpa Samavesha, a State-level convention, in Bengaluru on April 2.

Addressing a press convention in Kalaburagi on Sunday, Mavalli Shankar, convener of the okkoota, stated that the previous Chief Minister Siddaramaiah would be the chief visitor for the convention.

Mr. Shankar accused the BJP-led authorities of attempting to finish reservation for Dalits and different backward courses by privatising the general public sector items.
