Congress Ko Muslim Vote Chahiye, Candidate Nahi: Party Leader Quits Over Unfair Decision

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Amid the high-decibel Lok Sabha ballot marketing campaign, the Congress has confronted one more jolt from one among its social gathering leaders who levelled some severe accusations towards the grand outdated social gathering. Former Cabinet Minister in Maharashtra Government and social gathering’s working president Mohd Arif Naseem Khan give up the social gathering over ‘unfair’ remedy meted out to the Muslim neighborhood by the social gathering. 

In his letter to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Khan expressed his incapability to marketing campaign for the social gathering within the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.”

Khan stated that he will not marketing campaign within the third, fourth and fifth phases because the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance didn’t discipline even a single Muslim candidate in Maharashtra which has a complete of 48 seats. 

“Many Muslim organisations, leaders and also party workers from all over Maharashtra were expecting Congress to at least nominate one candidate but unfortunately, Congress has also not nominated a single Muslim candidate,” stated Khan, including that they’re now asking, “Congress ko Muslim vote chahiye….candidate kyun nahi?”

Khan stated that he’s upset with the ‘social gathering’s unfair resolution’.

The Congress is contesting the polls in alliance with the Shiv Sena (UBT) and the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar). The Congress has obtained 17 out of the 48 Lok Sabha seats. Khan was reportedly upset with not getting the Mumbai North Central Lok Sabha ticket from the place the social gathering fielded metropolis unit president Varsha Gaikwad. 

His remarks are prone to make the competition robust for the social gathering which is already dealing with appeasement allegations from the BJP-led NDA. During the continued election marketing campaign, BJP leaders like Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath have accused the Congress of working to appease minorities, particularly Muslims. The Congress has denied the allegations saying its manifesto is geared toward welfare of all sections of the society.
