The Congress on Saturday (April 13) launched one other checklist of 16 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in which the occasion has fielded Vikramaditya Singh from Mandi towards BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut and Manish Tewari from Chandigarh.
Vikramaditya Singh is the son of the Congress’ Himachal Pradesh unit chief Pratibha Singh.
The candidates had been introduced throughout a gathering of the occasion’s Central Election Committee right here on Saturday night.
Earlier on Saturday, Vikramaditya’s mom and Himachal Congress chief Pratibha Singh introduced that Vikramaditya Singh is preventing ballot from Mandi seat.
Vikramaditya Singh, a two-time MLA from Shimla Rural constituency, is the son of former chief minister Virbhadra Singh and state Congress chief Pratibha Singh, who can also be the sitting MP from the Mandi seat. He can also be the previous state youth Congress president.
Manish Tewari is the sitting MP from Punjab’s Anandpur Sahib and has been fielded from Chandigarh towards BJP’s Sanjay Tandon who changed sitting BJP MP Kirron Kher.
Other candidates
The occasion fielded Vinod Sultanpuri, the son of veteran Congress chief Okay D Sultanpuri, from the Shimla-SC constituency. It additionally introduced 4 candidates from Gujarat and 9 from Odisha.
The Gujarat candidates embody Ramji Thakore (Palvi) from the Mehesana, Himmatsinh Patel from Ahmedabad East, Pareshbhai Dhanani from Rajkot and Naishadh Desai from the Navasari seat.
In Odisha, the occasion fielded Mohan Hembram from the Keonjhar-ST seat, Srikant Kumar Jena from Balasore, Anant Prasad Sethi from Bhadrak-SC seat, Anchal Das from Jajpur-SC constituency, Sashmita Behera from Dhenkalan, Sidharth Swaroop Das from Kendrapara, Rabindra Kumar Sethy from Jagatsinghpur-SC, Sucharita Mohunty from Puri and Yasir Nawaz from Bhubaneshwar.
The Congress additionally introduced 5 candidates for the bye-elections to 5 meeting segments in Gujarat.
