A construction-site employee died after allegedly falling from the fourth flooring of an under-construction home in Sector 9 right here, police mentioned on Saturday.
The members of the family of the deceased recognized as Bhuri Singh (45) have alleged that he was pushed off the fourth flooring by the land proprietor and his spouse.
According to police, Singh, a resident of Sheetla Colony, labored as a tile-stone employee at a development website of a home in Sector 9 for about two months.
On Friday, he was engaged on the fourth flooring when he fell underneath suspicious circumstances. He was taken to ESI Hospital for remedy the place docs declared him introduced lifeless, they mentioned.
Jitender Kumar, the brother-in-law of the deceased filed a grievance and accused Anshu Gupta, proprietor of the under-construction home, and his spouse of harassing and murdering Singh.
Singh needed to take about Rs 1.5 lakh from Anshu Gupta however at any time when he requested him for cash, each the husband and spouse used to harass him and use casteist slurs. On Friday when he once more requested them for cash, the couple quarrelled with him and pushed him down from the fourth flooring, Kumar mentioned in his grievance.
An FIR has been registered towards the couple in Sector-9A police station underneath sections 302 (homicide) of IPC and underneath SC/ST Act on Friday evening, mentioned police.
“We handed over the physique to kin after the postmortem and are verifying the info. Action might be taken as per the legislation,” said inspector Manoj Kumar, SHO of sector 9 A police station.
