The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission – III, Hyderabad, was coping with a grievance filed by Mohd Abdul Yusuf. The reverse social gathering (OP) was Flipkart Internet Private Limited.

The complainant then contacted buyer care and knowledgeable them of what occurred. Later an electronic mail was despatched to him looking for his Aadhaar card particulars however a substitute was rejected.

For their half, the OP rejected all allegations. Based on suggestions from their staff, they requested for Aadhaar card particulars. However, the complainant didn’t comply so the ‘return’ was cancelled. The OP additional said that they don’t deal with services or products.

The commission famous that the OP maintained that there was no privity of contract between the complainant and them. They additionally famous that the cost for the earphones was obtained by the OP. Given this transaction, it can’t be stated that no privity of contract exists, the commission said.

The commission ordered a refund of ₹1,699 and compensation of ₹ 1,000.
