Coromandel develops nano tech-based fertiliser


Murugappa Group firm Coromandel International has efficiently developed a nano technology-based fertiliser, Nano DAP, from its analysis and improvement centre based mostly in IIT Bombay.

Extensive discipline research on product efficacy, biosafety and toxicity in numerous agro-climatic zones with main agricultural universities are being carried out and trial outcomes encouraging. The firm stated its software with the Centre for industrial launch of Nano DAP is in a sophisticated stage of approval.

Coromandel has filed a patent for the product and is establishing a greenfield facility in Andhra Pradesh. The plan is to launch the product in 2023, the corporate stated in a launch. “Coromandel is promoting new technologies for enhancing the resource use efficiency of its agri solutions. Nano DAP will go a long way in driving sustainability of Indian farms through improving nutrient uptake, lowering water consumption and minimising environmental losses,” govt vice chairman Arun Alagappan stated.

Usage of Nano DAP will make farm economics extra engaging and will drive sustainable utilization and site-specific nutrient functions, he stated.
