New Delhi: The Delhi government on Thursday (MAY 6) capped the utmost costs that private ambulance companies can cost within the nationwide capital.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal underscored that strict motion will observe in opposition to the violators.

“It has come to our discover that private ambulance companies in Delhi are charging illegitimately. To keep away from this follow, the Delhi government has capped the utmost costs that private ambulance companies can cost. Strict actions might be taken in opposition to those that violate the order,” tweeted Kejriwal, attaching the Delhi government`s order that had the detailed rates as effectively.

According to the order, the Patient Transport Ambulances (PTA) can cost Rs 1500 per name upto 10 kms and Rs 100 per additional kms above 10 kms, whereas Basic Live Support Ambulances can cost Rs 2000 per name upto 10 kms and Rs 100 per additional kms above 10 kms.

Advance Life Support Ambulance could now cost Rs 4000 per name upto 10 kms and Rs 100 per additional kms above 10 kms, the order mentioned. This quantity contains the fees of medical doctors in ALS.

The Bihar government has already capped the rates of each AC and non-AC ambulances within the state.
