Ruling out the chance of a lockdown in Karnataka to include the unfold of coronavirus pandemic, state Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Tuesday stated he has convened an all-party assembly on April 18 to resolve the long run course of motion.
“There is no question of lockdown,” Yediyurappa advised PTI reporters in Karnataka’s Bidar.
The CM clarified that the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) has not beneficial any lockdown.
“I am in the TAC. No one has recommended a lockdown,” Yediyurappa stated.
Besides former chief ministers Siddaramaiah and HD Kumaraswamy and Congress state chief DK Shivakumar, the members of Technical Advisory Committee members will attend the assembly on April 18.
Emphasising on public help to include the unfold of the pandemic, he stated the evening curfew from 10:00 pm to five:00 am has already been imposed.
“People have to cooperate by wearing masks, maintaining hand hygiene and physical distancing. There is no other way. With folded hands, I want to ask the people to cooperate,” Yediyurappa stated.
He additionally wished everybody peace and happiness on the event of Ugadi.
“May the difficulties in life go away from everyone’s life. May this coronavirus pandemic too go away,” Yediyurappa stated in his Ugadi message.
