COVID-19: Rajasthan imposes weekend curfew till April 19

New Delhi: The Rajasthan authorities on Thursday (April 15) introduced a weekend curfew within the state from 6 pm on Friday till 5 am on Monday as COVID-19 instances spiral uncontrolled. 

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made the announcement by way of his Twitter deal with. His tweet in Hindi learn, “In view of the increasing cases of Coronavirus, curfew will remain in the state from 6 am tomorrow till 5 am on Monday. Appeal to all of you to cooperate with the government during the curfew and abide by Covid appropriate behaviour.”

On Wednesday, the Gehlot authorities introduced a strict evening curfew to be imposed from Friday. Keeping in view the COVID-19 disaster, the rules issued will come into impact from April 16 to April 30.

The curfew will begin from 6 am and final till 5 pm throughout all cities. The markets can stay open till 5 pm, whereas all faculties and academic establishments might be shut. 

The curfew has been clamped from 6 pm to five am however enterprise institutions will stay closed from 5 pm to five am in order that the workers members get time to succeed in their locations of lodging earlier than the curfew interval.

The state authorities put a restriction on the utmost variety of individuals at weddings to 50 whereas sports activities and public occasions have been banned.

Earlier, the state authorities had imposed an evening curfew in 9 cities. The evening curfew was imposed in 9 cities-Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota and Abu Road ranging from 8 pm to six am, till April 30.
