COVID-19: Summer holidays in Delhi schools to begin early, check updated schedule

New Delhi: The Delhi authorities on Monday (April 19) rescheduled the summer season holidays in all schools in view of the rising COVID-19 instances.

Amid a surge in coronavirus instances in the nationwide capital, the summer season holidays will now begin from April 20 and final until June 9 in all authorities, government-aided and unaided recognised schools. 

“Summer vacations rescheduled, to be from 20th April to 9th June in all government, government-aided and unaided recognised schools,” ANI quoted the Delhi authorities as saying.

Earlier on Monday, West Bengal Chief Minister had declared summer season trip for all college students throughout the schools in the state. The trip will begin from Tuesday (April 20) and proceed until June. The resolution to announce early trip was taken in view of the rising variety of COVID-19 instances.

Meanwhile, on Monday (April 19, 2021), Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal introduced that Delhi might be put below full lockdown from the evening of April 19 until April 26 morning. He mentioned that the lockdown might be positioned from 10 pm on Monday until 5 am on April 26. The lockdown was applied in order to curb the transmission of coronavirus in the state. 

“Essential services, food services, medical services will continue. Weddings can be held with a gathering of only 50 people, passes will be issued separately for it. A detailed order will be issued shortly,” mentioned the Delhi CM. He additionally confused that there’s a enormous scarcity of ICU beds in the hospitals.
