New Delhi: Reiterating his assertion that Covid is a “Modi Made Disaster”, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Friday but once more held Prime Minister Narendra Modi liable for the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic within the nation and highlighted the massive gatherings held throughout ballot rallies within the not too long ago held West Bengal Assembly elections to justify his level.

“We named it Movid because if (Prime Minister) Modi would have taken action then it would have been only Covid. But the Prime Minister made room for Covid with his actions. The Prime Minister made room for corona by asking the people to beat ‘thalis’ and organizing gatherings in West Bengal. (Prime Minister) Modi helped corona. So, I called Covid as Movid,” he advised ABP News in an unique dialog.

The Congress chief earlier went all ballistic on Prime Minister Modi as he addressed a digital press convention over the current Covid-19 scenario within the nation.

Calling Prime Minister Modi an “event manager”, Gandhi stated the previous “cannot deal with more than one event at a time”.

“Anything happens, he will organise an event and deal only with that. We cannot do with an event manager in such times. We need effective and speedy administration,” he added.

Expressing concern over “only three percent” of the Indian inhabitants being vaccinated thus far, the Congress chief known as for an applicable vaccination technique on a part of the Centre whereas emphasizing that lockdowns, social distancing, and masks are short-term options to sort out Covid-19.

“I directly told the PM that if India does not sort out its vaccination strategy, there will be multiple waves since the virus adapts. The Prime Minister is the head of the country. He is responsible for its well-being. The buck stops with the Prime Minister. But the Prime Minister lives in a bubble… no one talks to him because of the way he handles things. So, in effect, the ship is moving without a clue,” he stated.

Alleging Prime Minister Modi is “trying to repair his image but his image is gone”, Gandhi stated it’s time the previous “stands up and leads the nation”.

“These are the times where he has to show his leadership, his courage, his strength. The Prime Minister must stand up and deliver… The time has come to show what a good leader you are. So, please deliver,” he added.
