COVID reduction: Kenya donates 12 tonnes of food products to India.

 

Kenya has donated 12 tonnes of food products to India as half of its COVID-19 reduction efforts, a press release stated on Friday.

The east African nation has despatched 12 tonnes of tea, espresso and groundnut produced domestically to the Indian Red Cross Society, it stated including that the packets can be distributed throughout Maharashtra with food assist.

“The Government of Kenya wishes to stand in solidarity with the people and Government of India during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic by donating consumable food stuffs,” Willy Bett, excessive commissioner of the African nation to to India, stated.

Bett, who got here to the monetary capital from New Delhi to hand over the food articles, stated the donation is directed to the frontline care givers who proceed to work lengthy hours to save lives.
