A 35-year-old driver was crushed to loss of life and his two associates had been assaulted allegedly by a bunch of cow vigilantes accusing them of transporting cattle illegally on Saturday.

The incident occurred in Sathanur city when Idrees and his two pals Irfan and Syed Zaheer had been transporting cattle to Kanakapura from Shivapura in Maddur taluk.
The accused, Puneeth Kerehalli and his group, intercepted them accusing them of transporting cattle illegally for slaughter.
