FRISCO, Texas: The Dallas Cowboys signed punter Bryan Anger and tight finish Jeremy Sprinkle on Wednesday, including depth at each positions for offseason exercises.
Anger figures to be competitors for Hunter Niswander at coaching camp. Niswander punted the second half of final season rather than the injured Chris Jones, the longtime Dallas punter who was launched final month.
The 32-year-old Anger was with Houston the previous two seasons after earlier stints with Jacksonville and Tampa Bay. The Jaguars drafted him within the third spherical in 2012. Anger’s profession common is 46.2 yards per punt.
Sprinkle spent his first 4 seasons with Washington, which drafted him within the fifth spherical in 2017. Sprinkle had 26 of his 34 catches and 241 of his 301 profession yards in 2019, when he began 13 video games. He had one landing catch in every of his first three seasons.
