Cyclone Tauktae: Western Railways cancels over 50 trains between May 15-21, check full list here

New Delhi: As Cyclone Tauktae which has shaped over the Arabian Sea heads in direction of Gujarat the Indian Metreological Department (IMD) has warned influence in 5 states with heavy to very heavy rains and powerful winds gusting upto 175 Kmph.

The storm is more likely to turn into a ‘extreme cyclonic storm’ throughout the subsequent 12 hours and a ‘very extreme cyclonic storm’ by Sunday, stated IMD forecast.

Meanwhile, within the wake of the Cyclone Tauktae the Western Railway introduced that it’s cancelling almost 60 trains which might ply on the dates of May 15 to May 21.

“In view of the cyclonic warning storm ‘Tauktae’, it has been decided to cancel/short terminate some trains for the safety of passengers and train operations,” stated Western Railway in a press release.

The press launch issued said that as a result of cyclone warning within the coastal Gujarat area on May 17 and 18 some trains can be cancelled/brief terminated on the dates talked about beneath.
