Cyclone Yaas: Fishermen return to coast, West Bengal makes preparation to brave cyclonic storm

Kolkata: After the West Bengal authorities issued a warning about Cyclone Yaas, fishermen in coastal areas of East Midnapore districts together with Digha, Mandarmoni and Tajpur began returning to the shore. 

The administration has requested them to chorus from venturing into sea within the wake of the cyclonic storm. Fishermen have been noticed drawing their fishing nets and bringing the small boats to the shore earlier than the cyclone is anticipated to hit the state

Meanwhile, 12 groups of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been deployed in districts of Kolkata, Howrah, North 24 Parganas and South 24 Parganas.
