Day After Attack On NIA Team, Probe Officials Booked For Molestation By Bengal Police | India News


New Delhi: Day after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) group investigated the 2022 blast in West Bengal’s East Medinipur, the district police lodged prices of molestation towards them. East Midnapore police filed a FIR towards the NIA officers on Saturday night time, citing sections 354 (molestation) and 441 (trespassing) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the Bhupatinagar police station.  

The grievance was lodged by relations of the arrested accused and TMC employee Manabroto Jana. As per stories, the police obtained a grievance alleging that NIA officers molested ladies by forcibly coming into their properties late at night time. While on Saturday, the NIA lodged a proper grievance relating to the assault on the Bhupatinagar police station. As of now, no arrests have been made in reference to the incident. 

The NIA group confronted an assault in Bhupatinagar on Saturday after the apprehension of two TMC employees linked to the explosion on December 3, 2022, which resulted within the deaths of three people. Two NIA personnel sustained minor accidents when their automobile was reportedly focused following the interrogation of Balai Maiti and Manobrata Jana, recognized as key conspirators. 

A verbal conflict ensued among the many Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the CPI(M), and the Trinamool Congress following the Bhupatinagar incident, with Opposition figures highlighting parallels with the January 5 Sandeshkhali incident in North 24 Parganas.  

Attacking a Central company means attacking the Indian Constitution. Charging NIA officers with molestation for finishing up their duties reveals breakdown of all constitutional establishments. This is a direct battle towards the Indian Constitution, remarked BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Samik Bhattacharya. 

Chakraborty was reacting to feedback by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, delivered throughout an election rally in Balurghat. Banerjee asserted that the assault was instigated by the NIA, not by the ladies… NIA officers intruding into properties late at night time, what extra could be anticipated? Women defending their dignity is a pure response. In 2022, there was an explosion in Bhupatinagar, and now the NIA has been despatched… to create worry. The BJP’s goal is to detain all our sales space presidents, added Banerjee.
