New Delhi: 742 folks have been fined by the Delhi Police on Sunday for not carrying a face masks and 159 others have been fined for violating social distancing norms, officers mentioned Monday.
“The process of unlocking has been started and we urge people to follow the Covid-appropriate behaviour. Use face mask while coming out of the house, maintain social distancing and regularly sanitise their hands. People should not come out of their homes unnecessarily,” Delhi Police Additional Public Relations Officer (PRO) Anil Mittal mentioned.
According to official knowledge, 730 folks have been fined for not carrying a masks on March 28 and 9 others paid a penalty for not sustaining social distancing. On March 29, 920 have been fined for not carrying a masks and 19 others for flouting social distancing norms.
Officials on Monday knowledgeable {that a} whole of 901 challans have been issued on Sunday. These embody 742 for not carrying a face masks and 159 for flouting social distancing norms.
A complete of 1,22,911 challans have been issued by the police from April 19 to June 6, the information revealed.
