A feminine Delhi BJP spokesperson has alleged sexual harassment after a video defaming her was posted on social media platforms. According to the Delhi police, an FIR has been registered towards unknown individuals within the case.Â
The matter got here to the fore after a criticism was made by the Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party alleging that the video, together with misinformation, was posted towards the spokesperson for insulting her modesty electronically, the police stated.

The FIR was registered at Cyber Police Station of New Delhi District below sections 354A (sexual harassment) and 509 (insulting modesty of a lady) of the Indian Penal Code, and part 67 (electronically transmitting obscene materials) of the IT Act, a senior police officer stated, including an investigation has been taken up.
According to the allegations made within the criticism, offensive sexual remarks had been made relating to the spokesperson, who had nothing to do with the contents of the hyperlink, as a way to injury her status.
It has additionally been alleged that for the previous two-three months, a gaggle of individuals has been harassing feminine spokespersons of the BJP, and the occasion requested motion towards the perpetrators, the police stated.Â
