New Delhi: A Muslim cleric has been despatched to 14 days judicial custody for allegedly raping a minor woman in northeast Delhi’s Harsh Vihar space.

The woman later after returning house narrated the ordeal to her household, who went to the mosque to confront the accused.
The locals staged a protest exterior the mosque and knowledgeable the police, which filed a case of rape below Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the related sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
The police personnel later tried to settle down the protestors however the accused had reportedly fled the scene by then.
The woman was then taken for medical examination and counselling.
