Delhi govt extends financial help of Rs 5,000 to auto-rickshaw, taxi drivers hit by COVID-19 crisis

New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday (May 4) introduced that every one auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers will obtain Rs. 5000 every from the federal government as help.

While addressing the media, the Delhi CM stated, “All autorickshaw drivers and taxi drivers in Delhi will be given Rs 5000 each by Delhi govt so that they get a little help during this financial crisis.”

Apart from the financial help to be offered, the CM introduced that every one ration card holders will probably be given free rations for the following two months, in accordance to information company ANI.

“We have decided that all ration card holders in Delhi, around 72 lakhs in number, will be given free ration for the next 2 months. It doesn’t mean that the lockdown will continue for 2 months. It is just being done to help the poor going through financial issues,” he added. 

The nationwide capital is below lockdown until May 10 due to a steep rise in quantity of COVID-19 instances.

Maharashtra, Karnataka and Delhi are amongst 10 states that account for 71.71 per cent of the three,57,229? new COVID-19 instances within the nation, the Union Health Ministry stated on Tuesday.

India’s each day positivity fee now stands at 21.47 per cent. The ministry stated that Maharashtra has reported the best each day new instances at 48,621. It is adopted by Karnataka with 44,438 whereas Uttar Pradesh reported 29,052 new instances.

Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh are among the many different states within the record of 10.
