Delhi Govt To Temporarily Shut Few Vaccine Centres As ‘Covaxin’ Runs Out Of Stock: Atishi

Aam Aadmi Party MLA Atishi on Monday stated that Delhi authorities must quickly shut some vaccination centres within the nationwide capital resulting from scarcity of Covaxin. The chief stated that Delhi has lower than a day’s inventory of Covaxin left for the 45 plus age group and therefore, the centres administering Covaxin to the 18-44 age group have been closed for now. 

“We will have five days stock of Covishield, but less than a day’s stock of Covaxin for 45 plus age group after today’s vaccination,” Atishi stated.

The AAP MLA urged the Central authorities to urgently suppply vaccines for the 18-44 age group. 

“We urge the Centre to supply us vaccines for the 18-44 age group since the new strain of coronavirus is affecting the young people,” she stated.

While issuing Delhi’s Vaccination Bulletin for seventeenth May, Atishi stated that Delhi began walk-in vaccinations for 45-plus from Monday as there are lots of individuals who haven’t got smartphones and may’t register on-line for vaccinations. 

Delhi on Monday reported 4,524 new circumstances of Covid-19, 340 deaths and 10,918 recoveries within the final 24 hours.
