Delhi May See Another Lockdown If Health System Collapses: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi: On Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal mentioned that whereas the federal government isn’t in favour of a lockdown, but when the state of affairs worsens and the system collapses it could be the one choice.

According to IANS, throughout a press convention, the Delhi CM mentioned “I will request all citizens of Delhi to follow Covid-19 protection measures. I will also appeal to the people to go to the hospital only when it is urgent.”

“The Delhi government assures you that healthcare workers will visit you and guide you for home isolation. Come to the hospital only if the case is serious,” he additional added. 

CM Kejriwal assured that at current Delhi’s well being system was sturdy and all authorities and personal hospitals have been strengthened once more in view of rising new instances of Covid-19.

“We have enough beds in all the government and private hospitals for Covid infected patients. But, if the health system collapses, we will have no option except to impose lockdown again in the city,” IANS quoted him as saying. 

On Saturday, the Delhi authorities issued new pointers for the approaching days, prohibiting all social, political, sports activities, leisure, cultural and spiritual gatherings until additional order. According to the order by Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), public transportation like DTC and cluster buses, Delhi Metro will work at 50 % capability.
