Delhi night curfew: DMRC says metro entry from 10 pm to 5 am only for ‘important’ category

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Tuesday mentioned it should enable entry between 10 pm to 5 am only to these passengers who belong to the “important’ category, in wake of the night curfew imposed by the Delhi authorities.

Earlier right now, the Delhi authorities imposed a night curfew within the nationwide capital from 10 pm to 5 am until April 30 in view of rising COVID-19 instances. 

Delhi recorded as many as 5,100 contemporary coronavirus instances on Tuesday. With this, the tally of COVID-19 instances within the nationwide capital has reached over 6.85 lakh, whereas the dying toll mounted to 11,113. Seventeen fatalities have been recorded within the final 24 hours. 

The metropolis noticed 3,548 contemporary instances of COVID-19 on Monday, whereas 15 extra folks succumbed to the an infection taking the dying toll to 11,096. 

The order for night curfew will proceed until April 30. The curfew will likely be in place from 10 pm to 5 am, mentioned a authorities official.

The resolution has been taken in view of rising COVID-19 instances in Delhi, he added.

The case positivity fee in Delhi has additionally risen to 5. 54 per cent amid an enormous surge in instances in the previous few weeks.
