Delhi Police has sought a report from the probe committee arrange by the Ministry of Sports to research the sexual harassment allegations towards WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, a senior officer mentioned on Monday.
The officer mentioned that up to now seven complaints have been obtained towards the Wrestling Federation of India President and all of them are being investigated. An FIR will likely be registered after concrete proof involves mild, he mentioned.
“As part of inquiry, we have sought a report from the probe committee set up by Sports Ministry to look into the allegations of sexual harassment allegations levelled against WFI chief,” he mentioned.
Several nationwide award successful wrestlers have been protesting at Jantar Mantar demanding the federal government to make public the findings of the oversight panel that investigated the sexual harassment allegations towards Singh.
Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur had introduced the five-member oversight committee, headed by legendary boxer M C Mary Kom, to look into allegations towards Singh, a BJP chief and a muscleman with prison historical past.
