Delhi: Three farmers arrested near Air Force Bhawan for violating lockdown rules

The farmers had been protesting within the bordering areas of Delhi since November 2020

The Delhi Police on Monday arrested three farmers near Air Force Bhawan for violating Covid-induced lockdown. According to police, the farmers had been on their method on a gypsy when police intercepted, and following interrogation, they had been arrested for violating lockdown provisions below part CrPC 188. The farmers had been later granted bail. 

The police sources stated that the farmers stayed at Bangla Sahib Gurudwara and had been on their strategy to Singhu border. They had been intercepted and arrested near Air Force Bhawan. 

The farmers act was thought-about a gross negligence of the administration, as throughout lockdown how the farmers reached near to the Air Force Bhawan, which is a kilometer away from the parliament home. 

The farmers had been protesting within the bordering areas of Delhi since November 2020 with a requirement that the Centre repeal the three contentious farm legal guidelines introduced in final 12 months. The farmers declare that these legal guidelines would harm their livelihood and go away them on the mercy of firms.

The authorities, which has held a number of rounds of official dialogue with the protestors, has maintained that the legal guidelines are pro-farmer, as reported by PTI.
