DK Shivakumar Says Centre ‘Destabilising’ Youth Movement as Delhi Leader Questioned Over Covid Aid

Karnataka Congress President D Okay Shivakumar on Saturday accused the Centre of ‘destabilising’ the youth motion, as he blamed it over the Delhi police questioning Indian Youth Congress (IYC) chief Srinivas B V, who’s within the forefront of coordinating COVID- 19 aid.

“Delhi police and the central authorities ought to know that Srinivas is likely one of the giants within the youth motion. In a video statement, he said, we are proud of Srinivas, especially as he belongs to Karnataka, and that he knows him personally.

“..he (Srinivas) is a big asset to the nation, not only to the Congress party. I condemn the attitude of the central government, they are trying to destabilize the youth movement. Youth have to stand by him, he is not involved in political work, but is working for humanity,” he added.

Srinivas on Friday had mentioned the Delhi Police’s Crime Branch questioned him concerning the help being supplied by him to folks in the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Delhi Police has mentioned the questioning has been achieved following a Delhi High Court order.
