A health care provider connected to a authorities hospital has been arrested in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh for allegedly promoting Remdesivir injections in black market, police stated on Thursday.
A joint crew of the district’s cyber cell and native police laid a lure at Rajim and arrested Dr Datyanashan Patel (30) and seized six vials of the drug, used to deal with coronavirus sufferers, from him, stated an official.
Patel was promoting the drug, half of the consignment offered to the district hospital, at exorbitant worth, he stated.
A case was registered at Kotwali police station and the accused was handed over to the Drug Control Department for additional motion, added police.
