Doctor In Assam Brutally Assaulted By Kin Following Covid Patient’s Death

Hojai: A physician was brutally assaulted by the relations of a deceased Covid affected person. The physician needed to be admitted to a hospital to for the accidents sustained from the grotesque assault. The Indian Medical Association has written to the Home Minister of India, Amit Shah condemning the assault and requesting him to approve an efficient and powerful motion in opposition to violence. 

The incident passed off a hospital in Hojai district on Tuesday.

Earlier, Assam Medical Service Association wrote to Hojai’s Deputy Commissioner Office condemning the assault on a junior physician following a affected person’s demise who was affected by COVID & pneumonia “Request Assam govt to book these merciless culprits immediately,” the letter reads.

According to the physician, Seuj Kumar Senapati was attacked by offended relations stated that  the affected person had died by the point he reached. In a video of the incident, a bunch of individuals could be seen charging on the physician with slippers and sticks in entrance of the hospital constructing.

The Indian Medical Association wrote to the Union Home Minster expressing their misery over the state of affairs as this is not the primary time a health care provider or medical employees was assaulted so brutally.
