Kolkata: A day after the Election Commission (EC) sought detailed report of incident through which Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee acquired leg accidents in West Bengal’s Nandigram, the ballot physique on Thursday despatched a strongly-worded letter to the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) on its memorandum over the incident.
Slamming the TMC over its claims, EC, in its letter, mentioned that it appears to be like “undignified to even respond” to allegations that the ballot panel is doing issues within the state on the behest of a “particular party”.

The ballot physique was responding to a memorandum despatched to it by a delegation of the Trinamool Congress regarding the incident that happened in Nandigram on Wednesday whereby Mamata Banerjee suffered accidents.
“Having said that it is rather unfortunate that the memorandum in question is full of insinuations and averments, which in fact questions the very basis of creation and functioning of Election Commission,” the letter by EC learn.
Further lashing out on the TMC, EC mentioned that it’s fully incorrect to counsel that the Election Commission has taken over the legislation and order equipment within the state within the title of conducting elections and appropriated the entire governance construction.

“This virtually tantamounts to undermine the very foundation of the Constitution of India, the most sacrosanct document in democratic polity. The Commission does not appropriate or take over the day-to-day governance of any state including West Bengal…,” it famous.
The Election Commission, earlier this week, eliminated of Virendra because the Director General of Police of poll-bound West Bengal with speedy impact, and appointed P Nirajnayan in his place.
While talking to reporters, Mamata Banerjee alleged That she suffered accidents in her left leg after being attacked by “four-five men” in Nandigram throughout election marketing campaign.
