Encounters break out in Kulgam, Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir

NEW DELHI: Two encounters broke out between a joint staff of police and safety forces and terrorists at Hatipora space of Kulgam and Senthem in Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday (April 10). According to experiences, two to 3 terrorists are mentioned to be trapped on the Hatipira space the place heavy firing is alleged to be going down between either side. More particulars are awaited. 

On April 9, a minimum of seven militants, together with terror outfit Ansar Ghazwatul Hind chief Imtiaz Ahmad Shah, had been gunned down by safety forces in two encounters in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian and Pulwama districts. “Five terrorists have been killed in a Shopian operation, while two others were killed in the encounter at Nowbugh in Tral area of Pulwama district,” a police official mentioned.

Earlier, the Kashmir Zone Police had mentioned that efforts had been being made to get two militants hiding inside a mosque in Shopian after an in a single day encounter to give up. “Brother of holed up #terrorist & local Imamsahab sent inside mosque to persuade the #terrorists to come out & #surrender. Efforts are on to save the mosque,” the police mentioned in a tweet.

The police had earlier tweeted in regards to the Ansar Ghazwatul Hind chief trapped contained in the mosque. “Chief of proscribed #terrorist outfit AGuH (JeM) trapped,” the tweet mentioned. The encounter in Shopian city had broke out on Thursday (April 8) night.

In a separate incident, terrorists shot lifeless an Army jawan, who had come residence on go away, in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, police mentioned. The ultras shot at and injured Havaldar Salim exterior his residence at Goriwan in Bijbehara space of the district, a police official mentioned. Salim was rushed to the hospital however he succumbed to his accidents, the official mentioned.
