E.V.Ok.S. Elangovan

The newly-elected MLA of Erode (East) Assembly constituency, E.V.Ok.S. Elangovan, has been hospitalised in Chennai.
According to a press launch from Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, Mr. Elangovan was admitted on Wednesday night with a mild chest infection. His vitals are steady and he’s recovering effectively, the press launch mentioned.
Mr. Elangovan who was the previous Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president is 74 years outdated. He took oath because the Erode (East) MLA, solely final week, on March 10. The byelection held on February 27, 2023 was necessitated by the loss of life of his son, the previous MLA of the Assembly constituency on January 4, 2023.
