While your complete nation is reeling below the fury of coronavirus and is on prime of the precedence concern record of every state, West Bengal has divided consideration with a lot hyped state meeting polling going down within the state. 

Election Comission of India banned automobile rallies and roadshows in West Bengal on Thursday, citing failure by political events to keep up covid norms and security preacutions. So far, polling in six phases has taken place and solely two phases stay in West Bengal.

ABP News spoke to West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh relating to the rising covid instances in India and political rallies being held. Dilip Ghosh whereas arguing that political rallies don’t have any affect on coronavirus instances rise in West Bengal, welcomed ECE’s resolution to cease rallies. 

“The reality is that Bengal is 8th out of 10 states where corona cases are highest. So if it was spreading due do election (raliies) then numbers would have been different,” Dilip Ghosh informed ABP News.

He additional stated: “Top three states like Delhi, Maharashtra and Chattishgarh are not holding any rallies or elections but have highest (coronavirus) patients. It is a matter of investigation but I think the Election Commission has taken right step at right time.”

“We have cancelled list of events now but those who are losing elections are taking corona as an excuse to call of rallies and hide their loss. They are targeting central forces or EC and now covid…but people are ready to vote,” Dilip Ghosh added.

On oxygen scarcity, West Bengal BJP Chief stated the centre has already streamlined the method for supplying oxygen to states.

“We are running oxygen express trains and supply is being streamlined. There has been a sudden rise in covid cases so there are such hiccups. But people (political parties) who could not give any PPE kit to doctors or provide ration to their people now have no right to raise their voice on this,” he stated.

“Modi ji has ensured best of facilities are provided for all. The reality is that people in rural Bengal die because they do not get proper food or rice,” Dilip Ghosh took a dig on the ruling TMC authorities. 

Further extending his scale of the assault on Mamata Banerjee-led authorities, Dilip Ghosh blamed the state was in shambles as TMC mismanaged throughout cyclone Amphan.
