New Delhi: Facebook has lastly commented on the foundations issued by the IT Ministry on February after which social media platforms got three months to adjust to these guidelines.

Facebook mentioned that it goals to adjust to the provisions of the IT guidelines and proceed to debate a number of of the problems which want extra engagement with the federal government.

“Facebook remains committed to people’s ability to freely and safely express themselves on our platform,” the spokesperson continued.

These social media platforms are more likely to lose their protections as intermediaries a high official revealed on Monday to IANS.

“If social media companies do not obey the rules, they may lose their status and protections as intermediaries and may become liable for criminal action as per the existing laws of India,” high official instructed IANS.

The guidelines embrace, a requirement to nominate a Chief Compliance Officer, a Nodal Contact Person and a Resident Grievance Officer in India who should publicly publish title and speak to tackle and that the grievance officer should acknowledge the criticism inside 24 hours and dispose it of inside 15 days and supply causes to the complainant of any motion/inaction.
