Acting upon complaints from the opposition Congress, a flying squad raided a call centre working for the BJP in Kalaburagi on May 10. Staff on the call centre would call voters and attraction to them to solid their votes for the BJP candidate in the 2023 Karnataka Assembly elections.
Congress employees alleged that the call centre was lively for the final three months. The executives, principally ladies, had reported for obligation on the polling day (May 10) when police went to the premises.
Police Commissioner R. Chetan, together with a crew of law enforcement officials, went to the call centre.
Later in the day, Mr. Chetan advised The Hindu that no motion was taken towards anyone, because the folks working the call centre gave the related paperwork stating that the institution was functioning after acquiring permission from the authority involved. He added that the permission is legitimate until May 14.
